The ICSM course in Clinical Human Anatomy is an intensive eight-week summer course open to active medical/health profession students, post-graduates, and faculty who want additional preparation or remediation in Anatomy. Learning components in the course are:
Lectures, which will use a class response system to engage active learning
Prosections performed and demonstrated using an ontophylogenetic approach by course faculty on soft-embalmed cadavers
Virtual laboratory sessions during which participants will dissect the Visible Human and review structures
Draw-It-To-Know-It software will be used for review and practical examinations
StatPearls online content will be utilized to relate anatomical structures to clinical applications in all regions
Oral presentations of completed virtual dissections for each lab session are required and will be videotaped and compiled into a portfolio for each student
Course director will be ICSM Anatomy Lab Director, Prof. Noel T. Boaz, Ph.D., M.D., an experienced clinical anatomist and medical school professor.
Cost of this online eight-week course is $800. Registrants who successfully complete the course are awarded a certificate of completion.
